Example
Coin Walk
A stand that turns any coin the user touches into a transposition marker, swapping places with it for a short distance.
A slender, silver-faced figure with coin-slots for eyes and a long, thin body that spins like a tossed coin when it moves.
How it works
- When the user touches a coin, they can instantly swap positions with it, so long as the coin is within 15 meters and in direct line of sight.
- The swap takes half a second to activate and can be used once every three seconds.
- It cannot affect coins that are in motion faster than a slow walk, and the swap fails if the coin is indoors and the user is outdoors or vice versa.
- Weakness
- If an opponent covers the coin or removes it from sight, the swap becomes impossible until the user can see it again.
- Cost
- Each swap drains the user's sense of balance for a few minutes, making them dizzy and unsteady.
Abilities
- 1
Snatch Back. The user flicks a coin behind an opponent, then swaps to it, instantly appearing at their back to take an object or land a quick strike.
- 2
Coin Ladder. The user drops a line of coins along a wall or across a gap, swapping from one to the next in rapid succession to climb or cross where no path exists.
- 3
Tails Trap. The user leaves a coin on the ground near an enemy, waits for them to step over it, then swaps with the coin, trading places with the enemy's foot and making them stumble into their own attack.

How it appeared
They were counting tips at a cafe counter when a coin slipped from their fingers and rolled under a table. As they reached for it, the world flipped and they stood under the table, the coin now on the counter. The stand shimmered beside them, its coin-slot eyes blinking once.
