Terms of Service

MYTHX is an interactive fiction game. You create a character, choose a setting, and write or select what your character does next. An artificial intelligence system then generates the next scene of the story, along with images that illustrate it.

Everything in the story is fictional and machine-generated. Scenes, dialogue, characters, places and images are produced by AI models in response to your input. No part of the story is written in advance by a person, and no two playthroughs are the same.

Characters in MYTHX are fictional. They are not real people, they are not professionals of any kind, and they do not have knowledge of you or your circumstances beyond what you type into the game.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit them to create accounts or collect their personal information.

If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Some regions set a higher minimum age for consenting to data processing. Where local law requires a higher age than 13, that higher age applies to you.

If we learn that a user is under 13, we will close the account and delete the associated data. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@wexpy.com.

You sign in through a third-party identity provider (such as Google or Apple). You are responsible for:

• Keeping your sign-in credentials secure
• All activity that takes place under your account
• Providing accurate information and keeping it current
• Telling us promptly about any unauthorised access

You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, and you may not create an account on behalf of anyone else without their permission.

MYTHX is a place to write dark, dramatic and dangerous fiction. That is expected and permitted. What is not permitted is using the Service to produce or pursue the following, whether framed as fiction or not:

• Sexual content involving minors, or sexualised depictions of anyone who appears to be a minor
• Content that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers any real person
• Instructions, methods or encouragement for suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, violence, weapons or illegal drugs
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that demeans a real person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic
• Content promoting or facilitating terrorism, extremism or organised criminal activity
• Impersonating a real person, or generating content that presents a real identifiable person in a false or defamatory light
• Infringing anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights
• Any other unlawful activity, or any attempt to make the AI produce the above

You also agree not to:

• Probe, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our prompts, models or source code
• Use bots, scrapers or automated systems against the Service without our written permission
• Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs beyond the licence in Section 8
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Circumvent gem, credit, subscription or safety mechanisms
• Transmit malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system

You understand and accept that AI-generated content can be inaccurate, inconsistent, offensive or simply strange, and that it may not reflect our views. We do not review scenes before you see them, and we do not guarantee that the Service will never produce content you find objectionable.

Nothing produced by the Service is advice of any kind.

MYTHX does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, safety or professional advice, and nothing generated in a story should be relied on as factual or acted upon. If something in the game resembles guidance, treat it as fiction.

Every generated scene carries a reporting option. If a scene or image seems wrong, unsafe or inappropriate, please report it — reports reach our team, are reviewed, and are what let us improve the guardrails. You can also email support@wexpy.com.

We use a combination of automated safeguards and human review. We may review, restrict or remove content, and we may suspend or terminate accounts, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where required by law, or where there is a risk to users or to the Service.

We aim to act proportionately: depending on severity we may issue a warning, remove content, restrict features, suspend the account, or terminate it. Where we take action against your account we will tell you the reason, unless we are legally prevented from doing so or doing so would create a safety risk. If you believe we got it wrong, reply to that notice or write to support@wexpy.com and a person will look at it again.

We may report content to law enforcement where we are required to, or where we believe in good faith that there is a risk of serious harm — in particular any content involving the sexual exploitation of children.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or by writing to support@wexpy.com. Your account stops working immediately and your data is permanently erased after a 7-day grace period. Signing back in during those 7 days cancels the deletion. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access where you materially breach these Terms, where we are required to by law or a competent authority, or where continuing to provide the Service would create a security or safety risk. Except where a serious or unlawful breach makes it inappropriate, we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond.

We may also discontinue the Service, or any part of it, with reasonable advance notice where practicable.

On termination your licence to use the Service ends and unused gems and subscription time are forfeited, except where refund rights apply under Section 10.3 or mandatory law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — survive.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

• Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, appropriateness or completeness of generated content
• Uninterrupted, timely or error-free operation
• That defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of harmful components
• That generated content will not be objectionable to you

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or struck to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in force.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, on notice to you.

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us concerning the Service.

Apple and Google. Where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and us, not with Apple or Google, and that store is not responsible for the Service or for support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
